Project Description
Black Høle is a hauntingly whimsical AI-animated short that blends hand-drawn storyboards with cutting-edge generative AI to explore the darker side of childhood under the pressure cooker of the Asian education system.
Rendered in a childlike, doodle-esque visual style, the film juxtaposes innocent aesthetics with the harsh realities of cram school culture, inspired by a recent viral case of Taiwanese students' grueling schedules. It’s a poignant satire that cuts deep: behind the playful visuals lies a stark critique of a system that conditions children into test-taking automatons.
As AI accelerates beyond human capacity, Black Høle asks: what happens when the very skills we were trained for become obsolete? Rather than empowering minds, this system leaves them unprepared for a future ruled by creativity, adaptability, and artificial intelligence.
